Genuine Dorset stone · UV print studio
Each slice is cut from stone laid down 150 million years ago on what is now the Dorset coast — polished, numbered, and printed with the picture, words or artwork you choose. One slice, one image, once.
No. 002 — Portland stone, Durdle Door
How it works
01
Browse the current cut — every slice is a one-off, photographed and numbered, with its bed and foreshore recorded. When it's gone, it's gone.
02
A photograph, artwork, a map line, names and a date. We check resolution and fit against your slice's exact face and send you a proof before anything touches stone.
03
UV-cured ink bonded straight onto the polished face — no laminate, no transfer film. Packed in board and wood wool, delivered to your door with its provenance card.
Provenance
The Jurassic Coast is England's only natural World Heritage Site — 95 miles of cliff recording 185 million years of deep time. Our slices are cut from legitimately sourced Dorset stone: Portland and Purbeck beds, Blue Lias, Kimmeridge Clay. Many faces carry ammonite fragments, shell casts and bedding lines you can find by touch.
We record where every slice came from — the stone, the bed, the stretch of coast — and it ships with that provenance in writing. You aren't buying a blank; you're putting your image on a piece of the planet's memory.
Why stone
UV-cured pigment ink is fused directly to the stone face. There is no vinyl, no laminate, nothing to peel or yellow.
UV-cured inks are rated for years outdoors and generations indoors. On stone, out of direct weather, the print outlasts paper by a lifetime.
No two slices share a face. Fossil fragments, bedding lines and mineral shifts make your piece unrepeatable — before your image even arrives.
Each slice ships with its specimen number, stone type, and the stretch of coast it came from. A certificate for a piece of deep time.
